MA in Teaching with Technology

Are you a geek who likes to teach? Or a teacher who likes to geek? The Master of Arts in Teaching with Technology (MAT) program is for those interested in the field of educational technology, or EdTech. The MAT program offers you the skills and experience to be an innovator in this field, and to make valuable contributions on the cutting edge of education and training at your workplace, or in a new position. Whether you are a teacher wanting to take your technological skills to the next level, or a tech specialist wanting to apply your skills more to education and training, Marlboro’s MAT program invites you to contact us and see if the program is right for you.

The MAT program provides skills that are in increasingly high demand, ideal for those who want to work with schools, colleges, and businesses to effectively integrate technology into their learning environment. You will learn the fundamentals of instructional design and learning theory and then apply their knowledge to technology. Courses cover a range of engaging topics, including instructional systems design, learning theory, online learning, learning management systems, virtual learning environments, and educational technology evaluation.

In this 30-credit degree, which can be completed in a year, you will work with a cohort of diverse and engaged professionals, including those in K-12 education, higher education, corporate training, nonprofits, and government organizations. Together, you will explore new learning technologies and ageless techniques to apply to each of your organizations, whether that’s providing technology support to K-12 teachers or university faculty, or launching web-based training for a corporation or government agency. Together with this new network of professional peers (and after graduation MAT alumni in key positions in the area), you will be empowered to bring effective teaching with technology to your current position, or prepare for a new one.
