Academics Reserve Materials Policy

Library items are placed on reserve so that all students may have equal access to these special course materials. All books on reserve (and all audiovisual materials) are shelved in the Reserve/AV Room, near the ground level service desk. 

• Reserves / AV Room hours when classes are in session:
  

  Monday - Thursday	8:30 a.m - 5:30 p.m. 6:30 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.
  Friday	8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
  Sunday	12:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. 6:30 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.

  .No Saturday hours

• Borrowing procedure:
  • All materials leaving the Reserve Room, including AV materials that are not on reserve, must be charged out at the checkout station in the room. DVD cases in the Reserve Room are empty; bring them to the Service Desk to retrieve discs and check them out.

• Borrowing length:
  • Three hours loans during the above listed hours
  • Overnight loans when borrowed less than three hours before closing time
  • Renewals are only permitted in person and when others do not need the item.

• Overdue Items and Billing
  • If a reserve item is not returned within three days of its due time, you may be billed for its replacement. This bill will include a $5.00 processing fee and a nonrefundable $5.00 billing fee.
    
    
• Reserve materials MAY be taken outside the library.

• If an item that you need is not on the shelf, let library staff know. If it is overdue, we can contact the borrower. If it is missing, we can notify the professor.
