Marlboro Alumni Admissions Program
Welcome to the Marlboro Alumni Admissions Program (MAAP)!
As a MAAP volunteer, you provide a personalized perspective on the Marlboro experience to help future Marlboro students connect with the college. Just as Marlboro graduates live in many corners of the country and globe, prospective Marlboro students originate from diverse locations. Alumni can assist by reaching out to students in their local areas and by acting as contacts with Marlboro prior to matriculation.
Ways you can help:
- Interview Students:
Interviews should be conversational and exploratory, typically discussing a student's educational background and academic interests, while addressing their questions about Marlboro.
- Attend College Fairs:
College fairs bring a variety of higher education institutions under one roof so that students and families may speak with representatives, peruse literature, and join mailing lists.
- Visit High Schools/Community Colleges:
We are happy to have alumni visit local institutions on behalf of Marlboro to create connections between high school guidance offices, Admissions, and prospective students.
- Contact Accepted Students:
This is an opportunity for alumni to congratulate students on their acceptance, answer questions about Marlboro, and welcome them to the community.
- Organize/Attend a Recruiting Event:
We would love for alumni, with the help of Admissions, to arrange small get-togethers that prospective students can attend. Whether attending a poetry reading at a local bookstore or organizing a Marlboro Work Day in your area, these could be opportunities to share knowledge with those considering Marlboro.
