Marlboro offers both the Bachelor of Arts and the Bachelor of Science degrees.
Graduation Requirements
- Meet the Clear Writing Requirement.
- Complete a 50-credit Plan of Concentration.
- Earn 120 credits with a minimum of C- on Plan of Concentration.
- Submit a final copy of the Plan project to the Registrar.
- Submit an Intent to Graduate form by the posted deadline.
- Pay all College bills.
World Studies Program Requirements
Students in the World Studies Program must fulfill the following requirements in addition to those above:
- Foundation Courses: Twentieth Century World, Topics in Human Understanding. Requirement must be met prior to the internship.
- Internship Support Courses: World Studies Colloquium, Finding an Internship, Designing Fieldwork, Senior Seminar.
- SIT Course Requirement: One graduate course.
- Language Requirement: Intermediate or advanced-level oral proficiency in at least one foreign language.
- Internship: A six- to eight-month work and independent study experience abroad.
Transfer Credits
Transfer students receive credit for courses taken at accredited institutions when those courses correspond to courses offered at Marlboro, and when the student has earned a grade of C- or better. (See also Academic Credit.) WSP transfer students must meet all the curricular requirements of WSP; a student may apply to the Director of World Studies to have a requirement met with transfer credits.
Bachelor of Science Degree
The Bachelor of Science degree in the Natural Sciences has minimum requirements which include:
- Successful completion of mathematics courses through differential and integral calculus. In certain cases, a specialized mathematics course may be substituted for the calculus.
- Computer programming.
- Introductory course work in most areas of the natural sciences.
- At least two advanced courses in one area of the natural sciences.
