A steady rain did nothing to dampen the spirits of 71 graduating seniors and hundreds of families and friends at Marlboro College’s 59th commencement. Speaker Nan Aron, founder and president of the Alliance for Justice, exhorted graduates to “use the unique experience you've had to make the rest of the world more like Marlboro.” Marlboro President Ellen McCulloch-Lovell offered her thoughts on the pursuit of “the Good Life,” noting, “I see from your work that you already understand that happiness is less about pleasure and your own needs and more about constructing a life of meaning.” In addition, honorary degrees were conferred upon Aron and Stephan Morse, CEO of the Windham Foundation.
