MARLBORO, VT - On Monday, December 6, at 7 p.m. in Marlboro College's Whittemore Theatre, Dr. John Kricher speaks about "The Life and Times of Neotropical Migrant Birds." Kricher, biology professor at Wheaton College, has studied the ecology of North American migrant birds on their wintering grounds in Belize and has traveled extensively throughout the American tropics. He will summarize much of the remarkable information that has been learned about how these birds survive, what factors threaten their populations, and how conservation biology could provide for long-term security for migrant birds.
The event, which is free and open to the public, is part of the continuing lecture series "El Medio Ambiente: Cultural and Environmental Landscapes of Latin America." Whittemore Theater is fully accessible. For more information, contact Student Activities Director Carrie Weikel at (802) 258-9248 or e-mail her at email@example.com.
