MARLBORO, VT -- The Fledgling Film Festival will present
"Ten By Teens" in Marlboro College's Whittemore Theater
at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 27. The event is free and open to the
public.
"Ten By Teens" features nine dramatic films and one documentary
made by Vermont teen actors, writers, and directors. Marlboro College
co-sponsors the Fledgling Films Summer Institute Program, which
is run by Film Studies Professor Jay Craven.
The Ten by Teens program features Marlboro students and alumni --
including Carrie Sterr, Geoff Eads, Rachel Frank, Philip Wells,
Rachel Portesi, and Gahlord Dewald -- as creative mentors and crew.
Among the short films are: "Carlin Fell," a bittersweet
tale about a day-in-the-life of teen misfit Carlin Petersen; "Night
Out," where the interloper from Hell intrudes on a romantic
dinner just as the suitor prepares to pop the question; and "Perfect
10," a satire on Barbie, beauty, and plastic surgery.
The Whittemore Theatre is fully accessible. For more information,
please call (802)257-4333 or visit the college's on-line events
