NewsPress Release - October 9, 2000Raphael Trio Performs "The Complete Trios by Beethoven"

MARLBORO, VT - Over the course of October 22, 29, and November 5, the Raphael Trio presents the complete trios by Beethoven at 3 p.m. in Marlboro College's Whittemore Theater.

The trio includes founding member Daniel Epstein on piano, the outstanding young violinist Irina Muressanu, and Susan Salm, cellist and founding member.

Since their Carnegie Hall debut in 1975, the Raphael Trio has performed cycles of the complete trios and quartets of Brahms, Mendelssohn, Dvorak, Schumann, Faure, Mozart, and Schubert. The trio has often performed the complete cycle of Beethoven's piano trios, including engagements at Carnegie Hall, New York's Town hall, and the Alte Oper in Frankfurt. They have recorded for National Public Radio in the US and the BBC in London, among others.
