MARLBORO, VT -- Marlboro College senior Bobby Drozek presents the "Marlboro Musical," a showcase of students performing a wide variety of musical acts, at 9 p.m. Thursday, September 14, in the Marlboro College Campus Center.

Featuring 10 different student performers, the "Marlboro Musical" will offer musical styles ranging from German children's songs to Irish bagpipe ballads, folk rock, and rap. Drozek himself will take the stage as "Big Papa IIA" and, along with his "Doctors of Phunk," will "rock the microphone" well into the evening.

Following the "Marlboro Musical" will be the Marlboro College "Open Mike," hosted by Marlboro College junior Tim Collins. The weekly open mike allows students and non-students alike to perform their poems, songs, or short stories. According to Collins, "The Open Mike is essentially an empty pallet. Whatever creative energies people want to bring, they are welcome -- there are really no limits to what Open Mike can be."

While the "Marlboro Musical" is a special, one-time event, the Open Mike will take place once a week throughout the semester.

The Campus Center is fully accessible. This event is free and open to the public. For more information, please call (802) 251- 7661.
