MARLBORO, VT - Filmmaker and professor Jay Craven and Marlboro College students perform an evening of comedic monologues at 7 p.m. Wednesday, September 20, in Marlboro College's Whittemore Theatre. The students, who are enrolled in Craven's "Writing Sketch Comedy Class," have written and produced their own comedic material, and they will perform it for the public for the first time.
"The Gag Reflex" comedy group will be joined on stage by a newly formed Improvisational Comedy group, also comprised of students. The improv group, made up of both comedic veterans and fresh and funny freshmen, will play a series of improvisational games that are certain to involve the audience in one way or another. Take note: those who plan to come, prepare to get involved!
"The Gag Reflex" hopes to perform their all-original comic material on a biweekly basis throughout Marlboro College's fall semester. Later performances will feature both filmed and live-action comedy sketches. With "The Gag Reflex," anything is possible.
The performance is free and open to the public. The Whittemore Theater is fully accessible. The doors open at 7 p.m.
