NewsPress Release -Marketing Expert Offers Seminar on Website Management
MARLBORO, VT - Shayne Gilbert, CEO of Silverweave.com and author of "90 Days to Launch" will present "After the Launch: Site Management and Administration" on Friday, May 18. This seminar is presented as part of the Marlboro College Technology Centers Professional Seminar Series this spring.
Gilbert teaches "Marketing and the Internet" at The Persons School of Marlboro College. In 1994, well before other entrepreneurs saw the significance of the Internet, she founded Silverweave.com. With Silverweave, Gilbert delivers Internet project planning and implementation for clients including Lucent Technologies, Hay/McBer and BankBoston. Gilbert earned her MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University, and sits on the boards of the Bentley College Entrepreneurial Studies Program and the Massachusetts Communications College Internet Communication and Technology Advisory Committee.
In this seminar, Gilbert will draw on her extensive experience with Internet businesses to take participants step by step through the development of a plan for the successful ongoing management of a Web presence. Gilbert's approach to a seminar is extremely interactive; participants will get feedback on specific situations, and there will be plenty of time for dialogue and discussion. Topics will range from internal administration, including site updates and maintenance, to building long-term user relationships through the Internet. The workshop will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and the workshop fee is $300. Early registration is advised, as individuals registered by May 7 will receive a 15 percent discount.
The Technology Center is located at 28 Vernon Street in downtown Brattleboro, with free on site parking and access to a variety of eateries.
