NewsPress Release -Andrea Passigli, Pianist, Performs at Marlboro College
MARLBORO, VT - Andrea Passigli, an Italian pianist who has participated in the Marlboro Music Festival, will play in in Marlboro Colleges Whittemore Theater Sunday, April 29, at 3 p.m. The program will include music by Mozart, Schubert, Bartok and Debussy.
Passigli studied in Italy and in the U.S., graduating from the Consevatory L. Cherubini in Florence under the guidance of Maria Tipo, and coming to Marlboro at the invitation of Rudolf Serkin, with whom he later studied. He has also worked with Pablo Casals, Nikita Magaloff and Luis Batlle, professor at Marlboro College. Passigli has performed in Italy, Austria, England, Germany, Russia, Rumania, Yugoslavia, Hungary and Poland. He teaches at the Conservatory G. Frescobaldi in Ferrara, Italy.
Passigli will play Mozart's Fantasy in D Minor, Schubert's Six Moments Musicaux op. 94 D 780, Bartok's Three Rondos on folk tunes, and Debussy's Children's Corner Suite.
