NewsTechnology Center Offers Panel on User Experience

MARLBORO, VT – Thursday, March 29th, from 4:30 - 7 pm, the Marlboro College Technology Center offers "The User Experience Scorecard," a panel discussion to help businesses determine whether or not their Websites are providing maximum value to customers. The cost is $15; advance registration is required. This event is sponsored locally by the Brattleboro Area Chamber of Commerce, and also by the statewide E-Biz Network Group.

The evening will involve a networking session from 4:30 - 5, a panel and discussion from 5 - 6:30, and a second networking session from 6:30 - 7. Hors d'oeuvres and beverages will be served.

On the panel will be David Rose, the lead teacher of the Internet strategy management masters program at The Persons School of Marlboro College. Rose is also the leader of Viant Corporation's Innovation Center, which creates prototypes to understand how technology will affect the way people live and work in the future.

Also on the panel are William Straus and Diana Bander, of Websound, Inc. and Diana Bander Associates, respectively. Both companies are tenants in the Marlboro College Technology Center, a center for business and education launched last fall. Websound provides branded streaming audio to corporate sites, while Bander Associates provides consulting services to emerging technology companies.

"This seminar is an example of the synergy that we at the Technology Center are trying to bring to the community," says Mary Greene, who directs community and special programs for the Technology Center. "The presence of the expert faculty of the Persons School, in combination with the entrepreneurial energy of our students and the emerging businesses of the Technology Center, offers the opportunity for tremendous collaboration with local businesses and with the community."
