NewsInternet Marketing Expert Offers Seminar at Marlboro CollegeTechnology Center

MARLBORO, VT – Shayne Gilbert, CEO of Silverweave.com and author of "90 Days to Launch" will present "How to Create a Successful Marketing Strategy" on Friday, April 6. This seminar is presented as part of the Marlboro College Technology Center’s Professional Seminar Series this spring.

In 1994, Gilbert, who teaches "Marketing and the Internet" at The Persons School of Marlboro College, founded Silverweave.com, an Internet strategy firm that delivers Internet project planning and implementation for clients including Lucent Technologies, Hay/McBer and BankBoston. Gilbert sits on the boards of the Bentley College Entrepreneurial Studies Program and the Massachusetts Communications College Internet Communication and Technology Advisory Committee.

In this seminar, Gilbert will draw on her extensive experience with Internet businesses to offer proven techniques and tools for developing a marketing plan for organizations. Key subjects will include permission marketing strategies, email-based outreach programs, the value of online advertising and the inside perspective on search engine listings. She will feature some
excellent case studies and spotlight successful sites. The workshop will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and the workshop fee is $300.

On Friday, May 18, Gilbert will also present "After the Launch: Site Management and Administration," a seminar to take participants step by step through the development of a plan for the successful ongoing management of a web presence.

The Technology Center is located at 28 Vernon Street in downtown Brattleboro.
