NewsPress Release: 4/15/02 Dance Lecture/Presentation Focuses on "Movement as Metaphor"
MARLBORO, VT - A dance lecture/presentation by Marlboro College senior Jennifer Bilodeau will take place at 7 p.m. May 3 in Persons Auditorium on campus.
Called "Movement as Metaphor," the presentation will focus on movement analysis as a process of understanding developing self-concepts. Bilodeau, who is studying dance analysis and psychology at Marlboro, will present her exploration of expressive stories in the developing self and an educational experience of gestures, habits and patterns in the body and in the mind. The presentation will last approximately 30 minutes.
In addition to her studies, Bilodeau has been teaching a "Contact Improvisation" class at Marlboro and facilitating a movement workshop.
