MARLBORO, VERMONT About 400 people are expected
to come out for the Gala Benefit Concert for the Morningside Shelter
for the Homeless on Aug. 24 at Marlboro College.
According to Marlboro College Professor Luis Batlle, the college
has been hosting this event for the past 20 years and it has always
been a successful way of raising money for the homeless shelter,
located in Brattleboro.
The concert is set to begin at 8 p.m. in Persons Auditorium at
Marlboro College.
Performing this year will be Stephanie Houtzeel, mezzo soprano;
Victoria Luperi, clarinet; Batlle, piano; and Richarad ONeill,
viola.
Tickets for the popular event are selling quickly and can be obtained by calling (802) 257-0066 or at the door. Tickets are $20 per person.
