MARLBORO, VT - Armenian-American poet Diana Der Hovanessian will be giving a reading at 7 p.m. Thursday, February 21, in the Apple Tree building at Marlboro College.
Born in New England, Hovanessian is known for fusing the historical and personal within her work. She has written 14 books of poetry and translations, and has won both international and national awards, fellowships, and prizes.
Hovanessian has been merited by the Poetry Society of America, the Columbia/PEN Translation Center, and the Massachusetts Arts Council. Currently, she is the president of the New England Poetry Club.
