NewsPress Release: 2/26/02ArtExhibit by Imperatore Comes to Marlboro Campus

MARLBORO, VT - Visiting artist Lynn Imperatore of Burlington, Vermont, presents an exhibit of her surreal drawings and paintings in Marlboro College's Drury Gallery beginning March 10 and continuing through April 21.

According to Imperatore, her work is inspired by dreams and life experience. "I make art in order to discover something about myself, the world, human nature that I don't already know . . . and to hopefully stimulate that process in the viewer," she says.

Imperatore received an M.F.A. from the Vermont College in Montpelier and was the winner of a Vermont Arts Council/Art in State Office Buildings Competition, among other awards and appointments.

Admission is free, and the Drury Gallery is fully accessible. Gallery hours are from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday through Friday.

NOTE: The gallery will be closed during spring break, March 16-31.
