MARLBORO, VT The Davis Educational Foundation board of trustees has voted to award Marlboro College a $225,000 two year grant for administrative systems upgrade and integration. The college will receive the funding in two parts. It has already received its first check and the second is due in April of 2003. The administrative systems upgrade will enhance the college's ability to information share and operate more efficiently. "Upgrading all of our systems allows us to do more, work smarter, and drive innovation while controlling costs. The last point is critical as we strive to continue our tradition of keeping tuition within the reach of middle income and working families," Marlboro President Paul LeBlanc said. "The Davis Foundation has a wonderful tradition of supporting small colleges and their efforts to use technology wisely while retaining their human touch and close culture." The Davis Educational Foundation was established by Stanton and Elisabeth Davis after his retirement as chairman of Shaw's Supermarkets, Inc.
