NewsPress Release: 3/4/02Gallery Talk Focuses on Exhibit of Surreal Drawings and Paintings
MARLBORO, VT - Visiting artist Lynn Imperatore will give a gallery talk at 4 p.m. Tuesday, April 2, in conjunction with her current exhibit in the Drury Gallery at Marlboro College.
A
resident of Burlington, Vermont, Imperatore says her work is inspired
by dreams and life experience. "I make art in order to discover
something about myself, the world, human nature that I don't already
know . . . and to hopefully stimulate that process in the viewer,"
she says.
She received an M.F.A. from Vermont College in Montpelier and was the winner of a Vermont Arts Council/Art in State Office Buildings Competition, among other awards and appointments.
Admission is free, and the Drury Gallery is fully accessible. Gallery hours are from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday through Friday. Imperatore's exhibit continues through April 21. NOTE: The gallery will be closed during spring break, March 16-31. For more information, please call (802) 257-4333 or visit the college online at http://www.marlboro.edu.
