MARLBORO, VERMONT – Marlboro College is pleased to announce that Classics Fellow Emily Pillinger will speak at an upcoming J Birjepatil faculty forum slated for Wednesday, April 9 at 4 p.m. in the Apple Tree Building.

Pillinger will offer a talk entitled, “Silver Latin Epic: Gender, Genre, and Political Action.”

Pillinger is Marlboro's 26th classics fellow. The fellowship program, started in 1963, annually brings to campus a recent Oxford University graduate to teach classical studies and Greek and Latin language courses. Since 2001, Pillinger has taught language courses here both in Latin and Ancient Greek, as well as classes examining English translations of classical literature, including Greek tragedy and Latin poetry.

Pillinger’s talk is free and open to the public.
