DIANE FOX TO SPEAK IN MARLBORO COLLEGE VIETNAM LECTURE SERIES
MARLBORO, VT – Marlboro College is pleased to announce a lecture by Diane Fox slated for Monday, April 14 at 7 p.m. in the Apple Tree Building as part of the Spring 2003 Vietnam Lecture Series.
Fox, of the University of Washington, will speak on “The Consequences of War: Agent Orange and Post-War Narratives from Vietnam.” Fox has been active in Vietnam since 1991 as a teacher, writer and translator. She has also served as a consultant to the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies in connection with its efforts to assist the disabled poor, including those thought to be suffering from the effects of Agent Orange. That is also the subject of her doctoral studies in anthropology, which she is conducting at the University ofWashington in Seattle.
