MARLBORO, VT – MERFELD AND CHANG TO PERFORM MOZART, BRAHMS, OTHERS AT FREE CONCERT
MARLBORO, VT – Pianist Robert Merfeld and violinist Sonya Chang will perform the works of Mozart, Dvorak, Bartok and Brahms during a concert set for Sunday, Dec. 14 at 3 p.m. in the Whittemore Theater at Marlboro College.
Chang, a recent graduate of Harvard, is a former member of the Brattle Street Chamber Players and co-concertmaster of the Harvard-Radcliffe Orchestra. She has soloed with the Richmond Symphony Orchestra, Williamsburg Symphonia, the New River Valley Symphony Orchestra, and most recently, the Brahms Society Orchestra. Chang has also actively participated in MIHNUET, a program that brings music and musicians to nursing home and hospital patients.
Merfeld, an Oberlin and Julliard graduate, is currently on the piano and chamber music faculties of Boston University, Harvard University, and the Longy School of Music.He has performed at Marlboro College with Katie Lansdale, Elise Kuder, and Momo Shinohara. He has also performed at the Marlboro Music Festival and the New England Bach Festival, and was a founding member of the Apple Hill Chamber Players.
This concert is free and open to the public. Whittemore Theater is fully accessible.
