NewsForms in Flight: An Evening of Modern Dance at Marlboro College

Marlboro, VT (Feb. 19, 2007) – Forms in Flight, an evening of modern dance performance by Marlboro students with guest artists, the Dance Generators, will be presented at Marlboro College on February 23 and 24 at 8:00 p.m.

Marlboro student choreographers will present dances that have been in the works since the fall semester. Shown in rough form in December, these works will be shown in their finished state in this February performance.

Student choreographers will be joined by guest artists The Dance Generators, an
intergenerational dance company from Northampton, Massachusetts, spearheaded by Marlboro dance professor, Kristin Horrigan.

“Dancers in the company span seven decades, 23 to 88 years old, and come together
through their commitment to innovative theater making,” explained Horrigan. “The company's choreographed work presses the boundaries of relationship, individual physicality and audience expectations.”

Forms in Flight will take place at Marlboro College’s undergraduate campus in Whittemore Theater. Admission to the performance is free, while seating is limited.
