NewsMarlboro Music Festival Performers Form Group; Return to Play
Marlboro, VT (March 22, 2007) – Trio Cavatina, a group that grew out of the Marlboro Music Festival, will return to campus and play in Marlboro College’s Ragle Hall on Sunday, April 15 at 3:00 p.m.
Musicians Ieva Jokubaviciute, piano; Harumi Rhodes, violin and Priscilla Lee, cello, will perform piano trios by Mozart, Fauré and Mendelssohn.
The young musicians met at the Marlboro Music Festival and formed Trio Cavatina in 2005.
Jokubaviciute, from Lithuania, made her debut at the Chicago Symphony. A graduate of the Curtis Institute of Music and the Mannes College of Music, she has performed solo recitals in Boston and Washington, D.C.
Violinist Harumi Rhodes most recently performed at New York’s Zankel Hall. She is a graduate of the Juillard School and the New England Conservatory of Music.
Cellist Priscilla Lee made her solo debut in 1998 with the Los Angeles Philharmonic. Recently she has performed at Zankel Hall and Jordan Hall in Boston.
Trio Cavantina will make its New York and Boston debuts in the 2006-2007 season.
Admission is free but seating is limited and available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
