News Marlboro College Hosts Donne's Partings, Lecture by Ramie Targoff, October 10.


MARLBORO, VT- (October 2, 2008) - Marlboro College will host Ramie Targoff's Donne's Partings, a free, public lecture on poet John Donne, in Ragle Hall at 7:30 pm on Friday, October 10.

Targoff's lecture will explore John Donne's life-long obsession with valediction, whether between friends and lovers, or bodies and souls.

Ramie Targoff is a professor of English and American literature at Brandeis University, and is the author of the 2008 book, John Donne: Body and Soul (Chicago Press). She is currently working on a book-length study of love poetry in the Renaissance.
