Job Description: The EAA must regularly attend, report to and participate in meetings of the Environmental Advisory Committee (EAC). The EAC and the EAA work closely together on environmental issues and projects and should be a resource for each other. Additional duties include but are not limited to: • research and provide information concerning conferences, affiliations, initiatives and grants • act as a resource for the community • self-motivated development of projects that aid environmental quality/awareness on campus • record and store information for future environmental programs and for community access. • contact local organizations and individuals to gather information about issues such as energy audits, guest speakers and programs • other duties as assigned
Skills Required: • availability during scheduled EAC meetings (for Spring 2011; 8:30-9:30 every other Wednesday) • interest/experience in environmental activism • outgoing with a willingness to contact local organizations, businesses, other colleges, activists, etc. • strong organizational skills in note-taking, research, information compilation • proactive, friendly, polite and amicable
