Responsibilities include: short order cooking, keeping kitchen and seating area tidy, running cash register, doing dishes, stocking supplies, cleaning and closing up kitchen at end of shift (which includes preparing kitchen for next shift). Responsible for showing up for assigned shifts and having a pleasant, professional manner.
At least some cooking experience and willingness to expand. We require honest, reliable students due to money handling nature of business. Sense of humor and ability to work under pressure are essential for this job. Students are encouraged to be creative participants in menu planning for daily specials. Because Coffee Shop employees deal with the "public" we have high expectations for their behavior and conduct.
