Offices Women's Resource Center
Located on the lower level of the Roderick Gander Center for World Studies, the Women's Resource Center (WRC) at Marlboro College provides a safe space on campus for young women to explore issues of gender, sexism and oppression.
Emily Mente '11 and Anna Knecht '11 began garnering support and funding in the fall of 2009, establishing the following goals for the WRC:
- To act as an accountable space for women on campus.
- To lead education, awareness and involvement, in working towards gender equality at Marlboro College.
- To cultivate the presence female voices both in and outside of the classroom.
- To be an organizational hub for feminist action on Marlboro's campus. This will allow the women on campus to organize more educational events concerning gender, sexuality, oppression, consent and women's health issues.
