Request Materials We Don't Own
Interlibrary Loan (ILL) (borrowing)
Requests may be made one of two ways:
- Filling out the online ILL Request form (preferred)
- Sending an email to ill@marlboro.edu
Always include complete citation information.
The last date you can request an ILL for Spring 2010 is April 19.
General Information
- Library staff will determine which library to borrow items from.
- Materials can take up to two weeks to arrive once processed. Please plan accordingly.
- Loan periods are determined by the lending library, but are usually one month. If you need to renew an item you must notify a librarian forty-eight hours prior to the due date.
- Items will be held for you at the library service desk. You will be notified of their arrival via email.
- To learn about the status of your requests, email ill@marlboro.edu
- If you requested an article, you may keep the copies you receive.
Interlibrary Loan is not free. The library covers the cost. Please be judicious with your requests. For more information, see the Interlibrary Loan Policy
Acquisitions (purchasing)
Requests may be made one of two ways:
- Sending an email to ajohnson@marlboro.edu
- Submitting via the library catalog
General Information
- The librarian will decide how to obtain an item based on cost, availability, and relevance to the collection. For more information, see the Collection Development Policy.
- Plan students need to consult with their sponsors or a librarian prior to submitting purchase requests.
