Filmmaking is by definition collaborative and interdisciplinary. Although filmmakers at Marlboro pursue their ideas and passions first and learn the skills to develop their craft along the way, any artistic pursuit requires a deep examination of intent and impact. Developing visual literacy and an understanding of historical precedent enables you to better communicate your ideas to the world, maximizing your impact. Graduating film and video studies students can articulate their vision, pitch their creative works, collaborate with others, and thrive as a visual artist.
