Transfer Students

The individualized course of study and self-governing community at Marlboro is like no other college experience.

Marlboro welcomes applications from transfer students interested in joining our close-knit learning environment. In fact, nearly 25 percent of Marlboro students begin their academic journey somewhere else. Transfers to Marlboro enjoy the individualized coursework, small, discussion-based classes, and our natural Vermont location.

Transfers come to Marlboro from across the country and bring with them a variety of academic and extra-curricular experiences that are valued and celebrated here. Whether coming to Marlboro from a two- or four-year institution, a small liberal arts college or a large research university, transfer students share a common sense of self-motivation, intellectual promise, and endless curiosity.

When you are ready to start the process of transplanting yourself to Marlboro, be sure to read the steps to follow in applying, submit your Common Application, and arrange a campus visit if you can.

As a transfer student, the admissions staff encourages you to speak with a faculty member in your area of interest―and we can help arrange it. This will clarify what new inspiration you can find at Marlboro and what work, if any, will be required before you begin your Plan of Concentration.
