Transfer Scholarship

Transfer students bring an exciting diversity of experience and interests to Marlboro, and the college is committed to helping them succeed here. Part of that commitment is in the form of a full-tuition scholarship in each eligible transfer student’s fifth semester of attendance. For many students who transfer directly into the midst of the Plan of Concentration process, this is just the added inducement they need to see their Marlboro journey through to completion.

To receive the transfer scholarship, students must satisfy the following criteria:

  • The scholarship will be available in the semester immediately following the fourth semester of continuous enrollment;
  • Complete 60 or more semester hours of transferrable credit at another institution prior to enrollment at Marlboro College;
  • Maintain enrollment at Marlboro for four continuous semesters, and completed an average of 15 credit hours of study per semester;
  • Achieve a cumulative grade-point average of B- (2.7) or better for credit earned at Marlboro by the end of the fourth semester.

Fine Print

The value of the scholarship may be reduced if, when combined with other institutional and/or external grant aid, the aggregate amount of grant aid exceeds the cost of attendance, or if attendance in the fifth semester is less than full-time.
