Project Description

A study of color in modern art: Kandinsky, van Gogh, and Rothko. PROJECT: Three papers. The major paper discusses color theory, use and movement in the art of Kandinsky, van Gogh, and Rothko. The others are short papers which discuss color in the art of Gauguin and of Delacroix. A selection of original work (paintings, collages & mized media) focusing on the application of color and culminating in an exhibition. A translation of a french essay on Delacroix.
