Project Description

Analysis of American films from 1950 to present using new historicist, poststructuralist, postcolonial, and Marxist and neo-Marxist criticism. A second part discusses the influence of philosophy on films and its incorporation into mainstream Hollywood discourse. PROJECT: Two papers: The first is an examination of film through the application of theories of literary criticism. The second is an examination of the influence of philosophy on film.
