Marlboro is laser-focused on attracting more students, retaining the ones who are already here, and preparing them for a quickly-evolving job market. Our new dean of admissions is taking a strategic look at Marlboro’s recruitment practices and identifying the weak spots in our admissions funnel. We have instituted freshman-only dorms and a first-year forum to build a stronger sense of cohesion and belonging among the newest members of our community. And as students move through their course of study, faculty members help them connect their Plans of Concentration more explicitly to workplace skills.
