NewsMetok Hughes-Levine to Play at Marlboro College
Marlboro, VT (Oct.12, 2006)--- Metok Hughes-Levine, violinist, will join Robert Merfeld, pianist, and Bayla Keyes, violinist, in concert at Marlboro College on December 10th at 3 p.m. in the Serkin Center for the Performing Arts.
The performance is a part of the Sunday Afternoon Concert Series, Mozart (& more) at Marlboro.
Hughes-Levine is currently a junior at the Cambridge Rindge and Latin School in
Cambridge, MA, and a member of the Prajna Quartet at the New England Conservatory.
Last March she won the American Fine Arts Festival's Mozart competition and played with the Washington Youth Symphony Orchestra in Merkin Hall at the Kaufman Center. She also won the New England String Ensemble's Concerto Competition and played with them in June at Jordan Hall.
Hughes-Levine has played with the Chernihov Symphony orchestra in Kiev,
Ukraine and was the youngest person accepted into the Longy Young Performers orchestra in 2000 and the Boston University Tanglewood Institute's orchestra program in 2004.
The performance at Marlboro will be free of charge and open to the public. Seating is limited.
