NewsTim Collins Performs his Latest Comic One-man Show
Tim Collins ’02 will perform his latest comic one-man show, “Zen Idiot,” on Tuesday, March 28 at 8 p.m. in Whittemore Theater at Marlboro College.
Actor and writer Collins has created a multi-character, autobiographical performance that grapples with family, spirituality, breakdowns and breakups. “Zen Idiot” includes everything from misplaced Mormon missionaries to sociopathic academics in a rollicking journey towards finding one’s self or at least coming as close as possible.
Collins, called “an amazing talent” by the Portland Phoenix, has been creating and performing his own one-man shows since 2001. He is a recipient of a Wallis Foundation Grant and a three-time winner of the 15 Minute Playwriting Festival. He was selected to be a featured performer at the 2005 National Storytelling Festival in Boston, Mass. For more information, visit www.timcollinsonline.com.
