News Artist James Morrill Exhibits "Creeper" at Marlboro College
MARLBORO, VT — (January 9, 2008) — Marlboro College will present a sculpture by artist James Morrill in its first public exhibit of 2008, starting Sunday, January 20 through Friday, February 15 in the Drury Gallery.
Entitled Creeper, Morrill’s work combines PVC pipe fittings, silk flowers, and paint into a single, sprawling construction depicting a flowering vine.
Morrill has had his art featured in many solo and group shows since 1997. He received his M.F.A. in Sculpture from Indiana University and has taught there as well as at the Rhode Island School of Design.
The Drury Gallery is open Sunday through Friday, 1:00- 5:00PM. Admission to the exhibit and talk are free.
Morrill will appear at Marlboro College for an artist’s talk toward the close of the exhibit. Please check the Events Calendar for an announcement about the date and time.
