News Marlboro College Documentary Debuts at Historical Society’s Annual Meeting, July 17

Marlboro, VT - (July 7, 2008) - Marlboro College will present an excerpt of a recently completed documentary about its roots during the Annual Meeting of the Marlboro Historical Society, July 17 at 7:00 pm in the Marlboro Town House in Marlboro Center.

The film, entitled Early Voices, is the end result of an oral history project undertaken by the college in observance of its 60th anniversary. Students, faculty and staff worked to collect the interviews, which were then condensed into an 85 minute film by Marlboro College alumna Carrie Sterr.

The screening will begin after a short business meeting of the Marlboro Historical Society. Tim Little, a history professor at Marlboro, will give a talk about the founding principles of the college following the film.

The event is free and open to the public and the venue is accessible for disabled persons. Refreshments will be served. For more information, contact Forrest Holzapfel at 802-258-2568.
