Concert by Renana Gutman and Ieva Jokubaviciute

Accomplished pianists Renana Gutman and Ieva Jokubaviciute team up to perform works for piano, both solo and for four hands, by Schubert, Chopin, Debussy, Brahms, and Faure. Series regular Renana Gutman has performed across three continents as an orchestral soloist, recitalist, and collaborative artist, praised by the New York Sun for the “true poetry in her phrasing.” A native of Israel who began playing the piano at the age of six, Gutman has won top prize at the Los Angeles Liszt Competition and performed in the International Keyboard Festival in New York City. She will be joined by Lithuanian pianist Ieva Jokubaviciute, whose powerfully and intricately crafted performances have earned her critical acclaim throughout the U.S. and Europe. Jokubaviciute was honored as a recipient of a Borletti-Buitoni Trust Fellowship in 2006, and The Washington Post described her playing as “subtle, complex, almost impossibly detailed and riveting in every way.”
