Part of the Speech Matters film and speaker series, criminal justice leader Glenn Martin will be speaking on his work for JustLeadershipUSA, which he founded. Martin spent six years inside a NY state prison and is now an outstanding advocate for criminal justice reform with former inmates.  to cut the U.S. correctional population in half by 2030 by elevating and amplifying the voice of people most impacted by crime and incarceration, and positioning them as informed, empowered reform partners. Martin is also co-founder of the Education Inside Out Coalition (EIO Coalition) and the David Rothenberg Center for Public Policy. He currently serves on a number of boards, and has often served as a re-entry and criminal justice policy reform expert on MSNBC, Fox News, CNN, and local media outlets. Speech matters is a semester intensive that investigates pressing issues and the language behind them—this semester is focused on life after incarceration.
