Senior fellow and president emeritus at the Center for Global Development, Nancy Birdsall was the founding president of CGD for the first 15 years, from 2001-2016. Her current research areas include the roles and financing of the multilateral development banks; climate finance; inequality and the middle class in developing countries; and the long-term effects of modern contraception on women’s economic empowerment. Join Birdsall for this engaging discussion about the effect of globalization on developing countries, and what can be done to combat inequality. Her comments will be followed by a question and answer period, and preceded by coffee, tea, and conversation at 6:30pm.
