Join us for this adaptation of Samuel Beckett's Waiting for Godot, which premiered in its English translation in 1955 and was voted by the British Royal National Theatre to be the "most significant English language play of the 20th century." A minimalist play about two characters who talk while they wait for somebody that never arrives, Godot is so elemental it has invited all kinds of social and political and religious interpretations over the years. This Marlboro adaptation features two urban youths, played by sophomore Karla-Julia Ramos and senior Saron Zewdie, facing the same timeless existential realities that have inspired audiences for decades.
