Performance by Saron Zewdie and friends

In this Plan performance written by Alice Childers and directed by senior Saron Zewdie, Bill paints three canvases on black womanhood during a 1964 race riot in Harlem. Tommy, who is assumed by all to represent the "Messed Up Chick," is the real "Wine in the Wilderness." When she speaks the truth about Bill's ideal of the African queen, who isn't real, and claims herself as wine in the wilderness, the others discover their true beauty.
