Queer Performance Night

Friday, April 20, 2018 - 8:00pmCampus Center

Performance by students and visiting artists

Come up to the coffee shop between 8pm and 10pm and celebrate some of the queer voices on the Marlboro campus. In addition to performances by students, organizers will also be hosting two performers from Hudson, New York. Doug Campos is a Salvadorian, LA native, interdisciplinary artist whose work spans a number of mediums and practices. After graduating from Bennington College with a BA in sculpture and social sciences, he has begun to take on drag as a form of performance to further explore interest in queering history, memory, and ways of amalgamating identities. Matia Emsellem (pictured) is a performer who creates work under the name Gerl Props. They create lip sync and video work that features characters inspired by gendered longing, emotion, and adolescence as well as cultural archetype. There will be snacks. Contact Bobbi (hcrocker@marlboro.edu) if you have any questions.
