Challenges Stand to Exceed Annual Fund Goal

Marlboro’s Annual Fund goal for this year is $1,500,000, and as of early May, the college had already raised more than $1,437,000 from generous alumni, parents, and friends. Thanks to the challenges of two very generous donors, the college is poised to surpass last year’s total of $2 million.

“The development team was feeling confident in the college’s ability to reach its Annual Fund goal, but these challenges raise the possibility of exceeding it and even breaking the the record set two years ago,” said Rennie Washburn, director of advancement.

The first challenge comes from renowned painter and Marlboro Trustee Wolf Kahn, who has offered to match all donations to the Annual Fund up to $200,000. The second challenge comes from a generous anonymous donor. If the college can reach $2 million in the Annual Fund, this donor will contribute an additional $200,000, helping Marlboro far exceed its goal and breaking its record for the Annual Fund.

These two challenges help raise essential funds which support the students, faculty, staff, and programs of the college as it nears the end of fiscal year 2018. Please be a part of the strong group of supporters—alumni, parents, and friends—who believe in the value of a Marlboro education. Make your gift today.
