Peer Advising and Coaching
Although Marlboro students take on a lot of responsibility to design their own course of study, based on their individual academic interests, they do not do it alone. Sure there are faculty and staff available for guidance, but one of the most meaningful ways in which students connect is in support of each other’s academic goals.
Peer Advisors are here to help students get their bearings during their first year at Marlboro, from choosing courses to finding the “cookie drawer.” Academic Peer Coaches are available at the library during scheduled hours, for help with time management, note-taking, active reading, and other academic support. There are even students that take on tutoring in specific academic areas, from Chinese to Chemistry, as well as the Writer’s Block. Wherever you turn, there are other Marlboro students who want to help support your intellectual journey.
