Health Professions and Public Health
Members of the Health Professions and Public Health community have a wide range of career interests that include caring for those who are ill, safety and health concerns of general populations, and the use of knowledge of natural sciences to improve public health.
Clinical and patient-facing professions include nursing, dentistry, veterinary medicine, medicine, physical therapy, speech language pathology, physician assistant, podiatry, pharmacy, and more. Public health is a wide-ranging, interdisciplinary pathway with the unifying goal of protecting and improving the health of individuals, families, communities, and populations at local and global levels. Employers may include hospitals and clinics, direct service organizations, federal, state, or municipal health departments, and public health advocacy and policy organizations.
