Women's Resource Center
The Women’s Resource Center (WRC) provides a dedicated space on campus for young women to explore issues of gender, sexism, and oppression.
While students of any gender or gender expression are welcome at many events, the focus of the WRC is a safe space for women.
Initiated in 2009 by students Emily Mente ’11 and Anna Knecht ’11, the WRC has the following goals:
- To act as an accountable space for women on campus.
- To lead education, awareness, and involvement in working towards gender equality at Marlboro College.
- To cultivate the presence of female voices both in and outside of the classroom.
- To be an organizational hub for feminist action on Marlboro’s campus, facilitating more educational events concerning gender, sexuality, oppression, consent, and women’s health issues.
